Introduction to physics applied for medicine and abilities in use and effect

Attending course lectures and exercises. Solving practical tasks regarding laboratory excercises.
Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
continuous, multilevel testing of knowledge and developed understanding

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to (learning outcomes):
To comment the propagation of ultrasonic (US) waves and interactions of US waves with the medium through which the waves propagate. Identify and analyze the phenomena on the boundary between two materials. Graphically and numerically present (oral and written) physical phenomena of US waves. Determine the relevant acoustic parameters with respect to diagnostic and therapeutic applications of ultrasound in medicine. To choose appropriate elements (equipment) of the ultrasound system due to the application. Evaluate interaction among components of ultrasonic diagnostic system. Validate working characteristics of a system for ultrasonic diagnostics
