Course description: Course objectives:
To familiarise the students with the dynamics and hierarchical design of biological systems within the 3.5 billion years time period. Comparison of different levels of biological systems construction. The applicability of acquired knowledge about biological systems in engineering and technology design.

Enrolment requirements and required entry competences for the course:


Student responsibilities:
Regulary attendance of lectures and exercises.

Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
Based on success rate on the written and oral exam and regularity of class attendance.

Methods of monitoring quality that ensure acquisition of exit competences:
Coverage of quality:
immediately in the classroom, in direct communication with the students (student questions and discussion);
periodically, according to the processed education content;
exposition/discussing of results (scores) instructing students how to achieve better results.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to (learning outcomes):

Gain insight into the natural laws of the surrounding world,
Apply the acquired knowledge and methods while designing the new artificial intelligence algorithms.
