Basic characteristics of nonlinear control systems. Linearization methods. Phase plane analysis method. Analysis based on describing function. Stability of nonlinear systems. Nonlinear regulators. Optimal control system classification. Structures of extremal control systems. Optimal control based on quadratic performance index - LQ regulator. Optimal LQ regulator design in time and frequency domain. Kalman filter.
