Lecturers:
Concepts, designs, technical solutions and organization of computerized measurement and control systems. Properties of basic components and subsystems. How to prepare description of functionality, algorithms and requirements of systems. Criteria for selection of systems, special requirements. Requirements of system and application software. Interfaces to equipment and to users. The role of user interface in control system. Ergonomics and documentation.
Basics of industrial communications. Communication architecture for distributed systems. Computer networks classification, norms, transport, media types, electrical interfaces. Analysis of modern, complex communication equipment. OSI referent mode description. Functional specification of individual layers.
Examples of computerized measurement and control systems for industrial production, air-conditioning, water supply, meteorology, transport, news media, finance and others.
