Parallel operation. Loss of synchronism. Capability diagram. Synchronous motors, characteristics and start variants. Generator/motors in reversible hydro power station. Synchronous condensors. Self-excitation and other excitation systems. Select rotating and static excitation system. Mathematical model. Equivalent scheme. Sudden symmetrical and non-symmetrical short-circuits. Electromechanical oscillations. Transient stability. Swing equation. Revitalisation.
