Course description: Heat sources. Heat conduction in solids, with and without internal heat source. Heat conduction in multilayer solids. Fundamentals of hydrodynamics. Conservation of mass and momentum in fluids. Stokes-Navier and Bernoulli equations. Similitude theory in fluids and dimensional analysis. Conservation of energy in fluids. Heat transfer correlation in non-metal fluids with and without boiling and in liquid metals. Thermal design of a nuclear reactor and heat exchanger.
