Course description: Elements, technical and measuring performances of electronic measuring systems. Open and feedback measurement systems. Static and dynamic characteristics. Asymmetric, symmetric and floating connections. Oscilloscopes: construction and way to use. Voltage and current probes. Signal sources. Time and frequency standards. Signal stability and spectral purity measurement. Measurement of passive two-port impedance. Fixturing and cabling: terminal configurations. Sine-wave and square-wave testing of linear four-ports. Digital instrumentation fundamentals. HF power measurement. Noise measurement.
