Course description:

Learning outcomes:

1. know the systems of general music education and understand their structure based on knowledge of their historical development;

2. get to know and understand the rules and specifics of acquiring musical knowledge and skills;

3. to know and critically analyse the curriculum of music teaching in general education and the theoretical basis of that program;

4. know the curriculum of music teaching in music education and the theoretical basis of that program;

5. to know other possible teaching models in general education and music schools (comparison with foreign education systems, alternative music-pedagogical approaches);

6. know and understand the goals and tasks of music teaching;

7. get to know the psychological and pedagogical basics of certain teaching areas: singing, playing, listening to music, acquiring musical literacy, acquiring musicological content (theoretical knowledge) and musical creativity;
