Course description:
The course introduces students to the tactics of intervention and special police in crisis situations (threats of a hand grenade with a hostage, the threat of activating a gas bottle in a hostage situation and with a hostage, the threat of self-immolation, bank robbery, static-dynamic realization of stopping vehicles) by adopting specific elements which improve the level of situational efficiency of police officers in conditions of the highest situational complexity.

Learning outcomes:

1. to know the structure and scope of activities of the special and riot police

2. to master the management and tactics of special and riot police

3. to train police officers and managers to lead and act in the field in crisis situation

4. to educate participants about police negotiation, crisis communication with tactical conduct towards perpetrators in all situations

5. to more easily master the everyday problems of police interventions of varying complexity

6. to master and control potential reactions of police officers in stressful conditions of varying complexity

7. to know the characteristics of material and technical means, the equipment of special and riot police

8. to possess technical tactical knowledge for overcoming obstacles, such as approaching the facility, entering the facility, transiting from facility to facility, intruding into the premises for intervention and saving lives, overcoming various obstacles

9. to develop predictive skills of police personnel in critical incident management and train decision making in the dynamic context of various crisis situations (hostage situations, situations with barricaded persons, etc. and the application of police negotiation through crisis communication)

10. to assist all police officers (tactical entities) and police operators in planning successful police operations (command system, team structure, selection of weapons and equipment, control and movement of the team, planning of operations, reporting and tactical advice)
