Course description:
This course enables students to acquire basic concepts from the field of fine art and visual language, as well as to get knowledge about art historical overview and chronology of artistic periods, and to apply it of in the interpretation and analysis of a work of art. Learning outcomes After passing the course, students will be able to: 1) describe and define the basic concepts of fine art and elements of the visual language 2) list and define the stylistic features of each historical-artistic period 3) use and apply the acquired knowledge through the formal analysis of a work of art 4) develop visual perception and perception of different elements of form when analyzing a work of art 5) distinguish and compare works from different periods of art and/or authors 6) evaluate the artistic qualities of a work of art
