- Course description:
- Developing and imparting theoretical as well as practical knowledge about materials, tools, techniques and methods that are represented in sculptural design. Introduction and practical performance of sculptural techniques with the application of traditional as well as newer methods of processing sculptural materials and their applications in conservation and restoration activities. Theoretical and practical knowledge about stone as a sculptural material. Stone, petrography, physical and chemical properties. Manual and machine stone processing by types. Types of tools and their use on individual types of stone.
