Course description:
Acquiring knowledge and skills for successful illustration in visual communication media. Formative skills and knowledge to develop perceptive, analytical and critical competencies. Encouraging a personal approach to conceptual solving of visual problems/tasks. Participation and understanding of teamwork. Critical and argumentative presentation of work to professional and general audiences. Design of printed media (graphics of books, magazines, newspapers...) of a higher level of complexity Graphic designer as editor. Information and narration. Designer and reader. Picture and letter - the use and combination of text and picture (photographs, illustrations, infographics, diagrams and pictograms) for the purpose of successful communication of the message. Learning outcomes:

1. Design and create a concept in visual communication media.

5. Critically and argumentatively present work to a professional and general audience.

6. Connect design practice with theoretical terms and concepts in a social contexts.

7. Present a project according to the rules of the profession.

8. Apply knowledge, skills and principles of graphic design, typography and layout in designing means of visual communication at a higher degree of complexity.

9. Synthesise knowledge and skills from other theoretical and practical courses in the typographic design of visual communication tools.
