Course description:

Introduction of piano literature. Playing less demanding etudes and polyphonic pieces (two part inventions). Interpreting whole sonatinas and sonatas. Acquiring skills within the needs of the teaching profession (reading "a vista", playing scores of different styles).

Learning outcomes:

1. Know how to apply various kind of piano technic in etudes

2. Know how to play two voices in poliphony

3. Knowing how to distinguish structural forms in sonatas, rondos or variations

5. To be able to interprete compositions of various styles of 19. and 20. century

6. Analyze and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, harmonic and polyphonic component.

7. Harmonize tonal melodic lines on the piano.

8. Work as an associate in primary and secondary schools' extracurricular music activities.

9. Work as an associate in conducting choirs and instrumental ensembles.

10. Play music scores of choral and orchestral compositions on the piano.

11. To play the accompaniment of moderately demanding choral, instrumental or singing compositions on the piano.
