Course description:
Playing more technically demanding etudes. Correct performance of polyphonic compositions (French suites, two and three-part inventions). Interpreting compositions of different styles of the 19th and 20th century. Introducing compositions of Croatian composers. Acquiring skills within the needs of the teaching profession.
Mandatory literature:

J. S. Bach, J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, C. Czerny, H. Berens, F. Mendelssohn, R. Schumann, F. Chopin, P. I. Čajkovski, S. Prokofjev, D. Kabalevski itd.: etudes, inventions of two and three voices, French and English suites, sonatas, rondos, pieces of various composers of 19th and 20th century, compositions of Croatian composers

Learning outcomes:

1. Analyze and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, harmonic and polyphonic component.

2. Harmonize tonal melodic lines on the piano.

3. Work as an associate in primary and secondary schools' extracurricular music activities.

4. Work as an associate in conducting choirs and instrumental ensembles.

5. Play music scores of choral and orchestral compositions on the piano.

6. Play the piano to accompany moderately demanding choral, instrumental or singing compositions.
