Course description:
Acquiring knowledge related to the written elaboration of the selected covered topic. Mastering the skill of writing musical-analytical or musical-methodical results. Mastering the scientific elaboration of a music-theoretical or music-pedagogical topic. Acquiring knowledge related to text preparation for printing and oral presentation of work.
Learning outcomes:

1. - Research, process and analyze information from different sources;

2. - Synthesize acquired knowledge and skills in the musical-theoretical or musical-methodical area.

3. Apply synthesized knowledge and skills to the elaboration of the main written part of the work;

4. Explain in writing and outline the research results;

5. - Present the finished work orally;

6. Critically argue the problem of the chosen area;

7. - Generate new ideas derived from existing action results;

8. The student will be prepared for study at the corresponding doctoral study.

9. Analyse and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, composition technique, harmonic and polyphonic component, orchestration.

10. Harmonise and improvise given melodic templates on the piano.

11. Perform piano accompaniment of choral or moderately demanding instrumental and singing compositions.

12. Sing, prima vista, a demanding tonal and atonal example.

13. Adapt the music score for different types of vocal and instrumental ensembles.

14. Synthetise the acquired knowledge and skills in the fields of music-theory or music-methodology.

15. Aurally recognise musical artwork with regard to the historical period of origin, stylistic and compositional characteristics, style and tonal provenance.

16. Aurally reconstruct and record tonal musical examples of single-, two-, three- and four-voices.

17. Use music notation software.

18. Collaborate in the field of music creation in art institutions, media, libraries and music publications.

19. Play music scores of choral and orchestral compositions on the piano.

20. Master basic singing techniques for the purpose of conducting choirs and vocal groups.

21. Conduct various amateur level vocal and instrumental ensembles, i.e. choirs and orchestras.
