Course description:
Acquisition of basic facts related to tonalities up to 3 signs, and raised and lowered tones on the mandolin. Mastering the grip up to the 3rd position. The ability to correctly choose the punch of the right hand (down, up and alternate). Ability to use tremolo. Getting your bearings in a vista playing of simpler literature. 1st, 2nd, 3rd hour: Major and minor scales through 2 octaves and their cadences. Mastering the correct selection of strokes (down, up and alternating). 4th, 5th, 6th hour: Work on literature (every hour 2 new compositions and a vista) Determination of left and right hand placement. Decorations, appoggiature and acciacature. 7th, 8th, 9th hours: Mastering the 2nd and 3rd positions. Ladders in 2nd and 3rd positions. Technical elaboration and joining of 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. Compositions in combinations of all three positions. Examples of a vista. 10, 11, and 12 hours: Chamber music (duets and trios). Rehearsing given compositions. Glissando technique (change of position) 13., 14., 15. hours: Creation of selected chamber compositions, preparation for the exam. Creating an etude in combination 1st - 3rd position.

Learning outcomes:

1. identify all raised and lowered notes up to the third position on the mandolin fingerboard

2. master prima vista reading simple examples

3. play simple two-part and three-part compositions

4. Analyse and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, harmonic and polyphonic component.

5. Create methodological topics, theoretical and practical, for the classes Music Culture, Music Art and Solfeggio.

6. Make music arrangements for a mandolin quintet, mandolin orchestra and tamburitza orchestra.

7. Work as an associate in primary and secondary schools' extracurricular music activities.

8. Work as an associate in conducting choirs and instrumental ensembles.

9. Aurally recognise musical artwork with regard to the historical period of origin and stylistic characteristics.

10. Play harmonic accompaniment on guitar.
