Course description:
Getting to know the basic methods of scientific analysis; acquisition of knowledge from the methodology of scientific research work in musicology; mastering the ways of using citations and the technique of citing bibliographic data in notes; acquisition of knowledge about the documentary basis of the musicological report.

Learning outcomes:

1. After passing the exam, the student will be able to create a conceptual project of his own more complex musicological research

2. Analyse and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, harmonic and polyphonic component.

3. Analyse and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, composition technique, harmonic and polyphonic component, orchestration.

4. Create and carry out the entire teaching activities for the named subjects.

5. Explain and organize the results of research in writing.

6. Apply basic methods of music analysis and scholarly work in practice and in writing academic papers.

7. Independently create teaching units for the subjects Music Culture (in primary school), Music Art (in secondary school) and Solfeggio (in primary music school).

8. Synthetise the acquired knowledge and skills in the fields of music-theory or music-methodology.

9. Aurally recognise musical artwork with regard to the historical period of origin and stylistic characteristics.

10. Aurally recognise musical artwork with regard to the historical period of origin, stylistic and compositional characteristics, style and tonal provenance.

11. Use music notation software.

12. Collaborate in the field of music creation in art institutions, media, libraries and music publications.
