- Course description:
- Course objectives Students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of vocal music. They develop a sense for the musical and logical development of musical thought within the boundaries of historical, aesthetic-stylistic boundaries with a share of individual preferences and deal with the specifics of mixed choirs.

- Learning outcomes:
1. Analyse and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, composition technique, harmonic and polyphonic component, orchestration.
2. Harmonise and improvise given melodic templates on the piano.
3. Perform piano accompaniment of choral or moderately demanding instrumental and singing compositions.
4. Sing, prima vista, a demanding tonal and atonal example.
5. Adapt the music score for different types of vocal and instrumental ensembles.
6. Synthetise the acquired knowledge and skills in the fields of music-theory or music-methodology.
7. Aurally recognise musical artwork with regard to the historical period of origin, stylistic and compositional characteristics, style and tonal provenance.
8. Aurally reconstruct and record tonal musical examples of single-, two-, three- and four-voices.
9. Use music notation software.
10. Collaborate in the field of music creation in art institutions, media, libraries and music publications.
11. Play music scores of choral and orchestral compositions on the piano.
