Course description:

Acquiring facts related to the development of 20th century music (language, forms, genres, schools, compositional techniques, aesthetics); familiarization (theoretical and auditory) with the works of the most important composers through which knowledge about the elements of compositional technique, aesthetics of style, etc. is acquired; acquisition of knowledge about atonality music, dodecaphony, serial music, expressionism, futurism, neo-styles, about new musical forms, aleatorics, stochastic, concrete and electroacoustic music; familiarization with the most significant events in the field of music production and reproduction during the 20th century; achieving awareness of changes in stylistic and aesthetic orientations, of technical innovations, the emergence of new schools, directions, and above all with a new sensibility and reception of New Music.
