Course description:
Learning basic intonation concepts, scales with 5, 6 and 7 signs. Acquisition of knowledge related to modulations. Mastering the writing of unanimous dictations with modulations, polyphonic two-voice dictations, three-part dictations with greater stock independence. Mastering the reconstruction of four-voice cadence harmonic progressions with secondary dominants. Initial awareness with horizontal and vertical thinking.

Learning outcomes:

1. Explain the concept and types of modulation

2. Aurally recognize and record a melodic line with a modulation transition and with longer stays in close tonalities;

3. Aurally recognize and record a lighter two-voice polyphonic dictation in one key

4. Auraly recognized and recorded lighter polyphonic three-part dictation;

5. Aurally recognize the harmonic functions of four-part cadence passages with secondary dominants.

6. Analyse and interpret different components of a musical work such as musical form, harmonic and polyphonic component.

7. Harmonise tonal melodic lines on the piano.

8. Interpret the goals and tasks of different forms of music teaching.

9. Create methodological topics, theoretical and practical, for the classes Music Culture, Music Art and Solfeggio.

10. Sing, prima vista, a demanding tonal example.

11. Recognise and characterise auditory musical examples of folk music from different parts of Croatia.

12. Make music arrangements for a mandolin quintet, mandolin orchestra and tamburitza orchestra.

13. Work as an associate in primary and secondary schools' extracurricular music activities.

14. Raditi kao suradnik u vođenju zborova i instrumentalnih sastava.

15. Aurally recognise musical artwork with regard to the historical period of origin and stylistic characteristics.

16. Aurally reconstruct and record tonal musical examples of single-, two-, three- and four-voices.
