Course description:
Intaglio printmaking techniques: aquatint and reservague, their origin and development throughout the history of art until today. Acquisition of skills in the use of various drawing accessories, printmaking tools and materials. Mastering the technical procedures of the intaglio printmaking techniques: aquatint, reservague, as well as combined techniques: etching, aquatint, reservague. Development of creative thinking and expression.

Learning outcomes:

4. LP4 - Evaluate the artistic qualities of a work of art.

10. LP10 - Interpret and present own work as art-work.

12. LP12 - Apply various drawing techniques, graphic tools and accessories when making matrices, dependant on different materials (linoleum, PVC, wood).

13. LP13 - Develop abilities of critical judgment and interpretation of artistic elements and aesthetic quality of specific graphic technique and graphic prints.

21. LP21 - Develop abilities for independent creative expression within the graphic technique of gravure printing.

22. LP22 - Deepen the understanding of artistic individuality, regional schools and stylistic phenomena predominantly in European and Croatian context with some non-European comparisons.

29. LP29 - Acquire abilities to solve more complex art problems, both conceptually and formally.
