Course description:
Introduction of basic terms used in the definition of the term "archaeological heritage". Informing with the scope of work of the conservator-restorer of archaeological heritage and the range of materials he deals with. Introduction of the different conditions in which objects of archaeological heritage resided. (land and underwater sites). Distinguishing the causes of deterioration of archaeological heritage items. Getting to know the characteristics of inorganic and organic materials from which objects of archaeological heritage are made. Overview of the development of conservation-restoration of archaeological heritage in the world and in Croatia. Overview of the most important localities in Croatia and the world.
