Course description:
<br> Introduce students to the social environment of origin and maintenance of the cadastre in the 19th century. Show technical capabilities and limitations of establishing and maintaining the Franciscan cadastre. Purposeful interpretation and use of cadastral data in practical work. <br> <strong>Learning outcomes at the level of the programme to which the course contributes</strong> <ul><li>To understand the role of geodesy, geoinformatics and spatial data in the modern world, to know measuring systems, measuring methods and technologies, and the methods of collecting spatial data. <li>To know theoretical principals, procedures of computer processing and visualisation of surveying data. <li>To be familiar with real restate registers and interests on them, to understand the measures of land development and the methods of land evaluation. <li>To know the regulations and administrative framework important for geodesy and geoinformatics, the regulations related to copy rights, publishing and exchange of spatial data. <li>To make conclusions on the basis of performed computational processing and interpretation of surveying data and obtained results.</ul> <strong>Learning outcomes expected at the level of the course</strong> <ul><li>To get familiar with relations between people and land after the abolition of feudalism and regulations with which they were formalized <li>Understand the reasons for the establishment of today's cadastres in the 19th century and the importance and scope of the job that was donne <li>Describe the spatial (geodetic) basis and methods of surveying along with creation of cadastral plan of the Franciscan cadastre <li>Use historical records of land registered in the Franciscan cadastre</ul> <strong>Course content broken down in detail by weekly class schedule (syllabus)</strong> <ul><li>Week 1: Introduction (learning outcomes, students tasks and valuation, literature, lectures concept, terms) <li>Week 2: A Review of establishing of the cadastral systems in the world (time of of establishing, the purpose of establishing, a division of cadastral systems) <li>Week 3: The environment of establishment of of the Franciscan cadastre (social planning, land policy, regulations, and dynamics of establishment) <li>Week 4: Regulations about the introduction of the Franciscan cadastre (tax and cadastral regulations, training of cadastral surveyors) <li>Week 5: Spatial (geodetic) basis of Franciscan cadastre (the unit of measure, coordinate systems, Soldner coordinates, geodetic basis) <li>Week 6: Methods of survey (graphical method, plane table) <li>Week 7: first preliminary exam <li>Week 8: The Franciscan cadastre data model (cadastral documentation, content, analog data storage environment, limitations and disadvantages) <li>Week 9: Cadastral map (scale, determination of area of the cadastral parcels) <li>Week 10: Maintaining of the Franciscan cadastre data (surveying, mapping changes) <li>Week 11: Changes for purpose of maintenance (labeling cadastral parcels, labels of use) <li>Week 12: Restoration of Franciscan cadastre documentation (litography, pantography, tracing) <li>Week 13: Especiallity of areas (Austrian part, the Hungarian part) <li>Week 14: Possibilities of usage of Franciscan cadastre data (excerpts and copies of transcripts, analysis and statistics) <li>Week 15: second preliminary exam</ul> <strong>Screening student work</strong> <ul><li>Seminar essay - 1 ECTS <li>Oral exam - 2 ECTS</ul>
